!!! Update – News from the Pumpkin Patch !!!
Pottawattamie has issued a burn ban which prohibits our bonfire parties. Unfortunately we are canceling all scheduled parties.
Secondly, our pumpkin fields are now empty but we have some pumpkins remaining for sale at our orchard building. As such we are also concluding tractor rides for the season as well.
The good news is that we will still remain open as scheduled to sell out our remaining pumpkins and allow families to enjoy our play areas with no admission cost.
Thank you for those who chose Pioneer Trail Orchard & Pumpkin Patch for their traditional fall family fun event for 2022!
Madness Haunted House/Farm opens Sept 16th and is now operating at Pioneer Trail Orchard!
Madness is separate from Pioneer Trail in regards to admission which is $20 per person. Madness is a full scale adult haunted event consisting of both indoor and outdoor experiences. Feel free to check them out on Facebook for hours of operation. Madness is now utilizing our previous Haunted House & Barn so we have moved some of our children haunted items to the green house.

Pioneer Trail Orchard Details for Bonfire Parties
Bonfire Party Rentals
Wednesday through Thursday – Available after 5 PM until 10 PM
Saturday & Sunday – Available after 12:00 noon until 10 PM Saturday & 12:00 noon until 7 PM for approximately 3 hours rental time slots.
A bonfire rental rate is $45. We provide the wood and will start your fire.
Admission to our Pioneer Trail Orchard Pumpkin Patch is $7 per person, 2 and younger are free. Admission primarily covers the cost of offering an enjoyable tractor ride (weather permitting) as well as children activities.
Admission includes: Small corn maze, play area, haunted green house and a haunted tractor rack ride and more.
Pumpkins are available priced by the pound as well as apple picking. Due to a small crop and hail in the spring we do no have apples to see this fall 2022.
*Note that Pioneer Trail Orchard general activities focus on families and groups with younger kids, but Madness Haunted Farm is now available for older thrill seekers as a separate activity during the evenings opening at 7 PM.
If renting a bonfire area feel free to bring your own chairs, food and drink. The only restriction is our alcohol license prohibits outside alcohol. But, we sell both beer and wine within the winery & grill at reasonable prices.
